Introduction

Welcome to Sigma. We value the privacy of our users and have created this Privacy Policy to explain how we collect, use, and disclose information when you use our Gmail client app. This policy provides details about the data we handle and how we handle it.

What Information We Collect

In compliance with Google's Limited Use policy, our databases store the most limited amount of information necessary to provide our services. The information we collect falls into two categories: information you provide and automated information collection. Google provides Sigma with your email address and read-only access to your mail following your oAuth login, and Sigma generates contact names based on your past emails received. These contacts are stored in our databases. We do not under any circumstances store the content of your emails on our servers, however we will save your emails in your browser cache to provide you with a better user experience.

Use of Google APIs

Sigma's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Information You Provide

You may provide us with your email address and other information necessary to access and utilize the Gmail client app.

Automated Information Collection

When you use our Gmail client app, we automatically collect information about the emails you send and receive. This may include the email address, subject line, and content of the email. Sigma may run algorithms over this data to train your own personal categorization model of emails. Your categorization data is strictly yours as it is not shared with any third parties and is stored entirely on your own device which is accessing Sigma.

How We Use Information

We use the information collected for the following purposes: use your name to personalize your email client, use your email address to send and receive emails, and use the content of your emails to provide you with the Gmail client app service. We do not use your information for any other purposes.

How We Share Information

We do not currently share information with any third parties, but may do so in the future. You will be notified by email if we do.

Data Security

We implement limited security measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Our security strategy relies heavily on the security of the email provider you use to access our Gmail client app.

Links to Other Websites

Our Gmail client app allows you to send and receive emails that may contain links to third-party websites, products, or services. These links are included in the emails by the senders and are not controlled or monitored by us. We do not endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites linked in the emails. When you access these third-party websites through links in your emails, you do so at your own risk. These sites may have their own privacy policies and terms of use, which we encourage you to review before engaging with the site. Our Privacy Policy does not apply to any third-party websites linked in your emails, and we cannot control or assume responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of these sites. Please be aware that the information you provide on or through third-party websites linked in your emails is subject to those sites' privacy policies, not ours. We strongly encourage you to read the privacy policy of every website you visit, as their policies and practices may differ significantly from ours.

Children's Privacy
